Where Marigold comes from.
"I wanted a firm where I'd send my own family. That's the only test that ever mattered to me."
— Maggie Kowalski, Founder
Marigold Home Co. was started in 2011 out of a small storefront on Maple Row, by a realtor who'd spent twelve years watching big-brokerage clients get lost in the shuffle. The idea was simple: build a firm small enough that every client would work with a senior agent, from the first showing to the closing paperwork.
Fourteen years later, that's still exactly how it runs. Three agents, one office, one shared calendar. Every client is assigned to Maggie, David, or Jane on day one, and stays with that agent through the whole process. No handoffs, no rotations, no junior staff you've never met showing up at the closing.
We work almost entirely from referrals—which means we can afford to say no to clients who aren't a good fit, and yes to the ones we can genuinely help. Some months we close five houses. Some months we close twelve. We don't chase volume. We chase the right match.
The neighborhoods we serve—Highland Park, Riverside, Millbrook, West End—are all within a fifteen-minute drive of our office. We walk them, we know the schools, we know which streets flood in April, and we know which listings are worth chasing before they hit the market.
That's the whole pitch. A small firm that actually pays attention.
